Vincent
YOU CAN’T CONTROL HOW OTHERS SEE YOU
In 2018, Clara stood in awe of Vincent Van Gogh’s art at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza, Italy. The vibrant colors and raw emotions in his work struck a deep chord, especially his yearning to be accepted for who he truly was. Inspired by his vulnerability and courage, Clara returned to her studio the next day and poured her feelings into a masterpiece she called Vincent.
Van Gogh once said, “I wish they take me for who I am.” This sentiment, paired with Clara’s belief in “Be real, not perfect,” reminds us of something powerful: you can’t control how others see you, but you can embrace who you are and let go of the need for perfection. Just like Clara’s painting, Vincent, life can be bold, imperfect, and still full of beauty.
